The county is well known for well-preserved heritage such as the magnificent medieval Warwick Castle, Kenilworth Castle and Elizabethan Garden, plus the elegant Georgian, Regency and Victorian streetscapes of Royal Leamington Spa.

In the south of the county, you can enjoy Roman Alcester with its museum, enchanting Welford-on-Avon with its thatched black-and-white cottages, Southam with its Holy Well. Rail travel - Warwickshire has great rail links. Heart of England Community Rail Partnership has been working with the The Ramblers', the Long Distance Walkers Association and the Millennium Way Group to create a range of 36 self-guided walks from railway stations in Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull. Explore historic Stratford-upon-Avon, discover Riversley Park in Nuneaton, or see the narrow boats pass by on the Grand Union Canal as you take a walk from Hatton Station. You’ll find both circular and linear routes of varying distance, but each is easily accessible from a station and helps you explore some amazing places!
